CLASSIC 1960s GO-GO DANCERS
Add even more atmosphere and oomph by incorporating a performance of The Beehives Go-Go Dancers to any 1960s soul or funk band.
The Beehives are a troupe of 60s style go-go dancers that perform both freestyle go-go sets and choreographed routines with anywhere from one to six performers. They blend classic go-go dance moves such as ‘the twist’, ‘the monkey’, ‘the jerk’, ‘the watusi’ and ‘the pony’, with a head-spinning amount of freestyle shimmying and shaking.
The term ‘go-go’ was born from the phrase ‘go-go-go’, meaning energetic people, and The Beehives definitely live up to their name – fast-paced, vivacious and unwavering in their mission to entertain you.
The Beehives perform for band launches, burlesque variety shows, on festival stages, for promotional events, at street festivals (complete with their own special go-go platforms) and at fashion events.
After starting out performing at Devilles Pad, The Beehives have since appeared with Stratosfunk at Motown On The Rocks, Chinese Chamber Of Commerce Ball, The Regal Theatre and in Perth Fringe World show Shake Down: The 1960s Dance Craze Revival.
They have also performed with The High Learys and The Isolites.
