Feature Show: A cabaret legend from the 1920s onward
“Bodycoat’s voice has a vibrancy and potency that conveys the emotional depth of the lyrics and hints at the personal tragedy behind Dietrich’s public mask.” – The West Australian
Ali Bodycoat’s Minor Major Marlene is a sumptuous and intelligent glimpse into the astonishing 65-year career of cabaret legend Marlene Dietrich.
Accompanied by Tom O’Halloran on piano, Ali paints an evocative picture of Dietrich’s intriguingly complex character, covering her transition from glamorous femme fatale on screen to formidable stage performer.

Striking, captivating and beautifully presented, Minor Major Marlene features exquisite costumes by internationally renowned designer Aurelio Costarella, stunning visuals by VJzoo and a repertoire of classics such as ‘Lili Marlene’, ‘Blue Heaven’, ‘White Grass’ and ‘Falling In Love Again’.
